2016 IUPAC-Richter Prize, Call for Nominations
The prize - USD 10000 - is to be awarded to an internationally recognized scientist, preferably a medicinal chemist, who has made an outstanding contribution to the practice of medicinal chemistry or drug discovery. Previous winners: Malcolm F.G. Stevens in 2006, Jan Heeres in 2008, Arun K. Ghosh in 2010, Stephen Hanessian in 2012, Helmut Buschmann in 2014. The deadline for nominations is February 15, 2016. The award will be presented at the 2016 EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry, and the winner will also be invited to speak at the National Med Chem Symposium in Chicago next June. MEDI Needs Volunteers
The Division of Medicinal Chemistry is an organization that is run by volunteers. From the Executive Committee to those organizing symposia at National Meetings to those running local chapters, we are always looking for members to help with the Division’s activities. If you are looking to help with this Website (maintaining and updating specific content areas), start or join a local ACS Chapter, submit a proposal for organizing a symposium for MEDI programming at the ACS National Meetings, or help with our advocacy efforts, please contact the Division Secretary.
